June, 6th, 1944 changed the course of a war and of our History. It was on D-Day that the allied troops invaded Normandy for a series of episodes that shaped the world with memories of sadness, braveness, courage and brotherhood. Almost 70 years later, the place still breathes commotion, for the thousands of the daily visitors or for those many veterans who return, usually to say a last goodbye to forests, beaches, borders and foxholes they once called home.

In September, 2009, I visited Normandy to produce a series of photos. And I’ve never produced anything with such emotion and passion. It was the experience of a lifetime.

This work has been published in a series of magazines and featured in exhibits in Belo Horizonte and São Paulo at Fnac's Gallery.

Illustrator Luis Matuto and photographer Rodrigo Bressane team up to transform bodies in living canvas and ephemeral art into images that can be admired forever.

The "Skin, Ink & Light" project will feature 12 women. The painting process can take up to six hours and shooting can go for as long as four hours.

Started in 2009, this project presents women who share those remarkably charming patches of light on their skin. Their beauty is anything but ordinary and the photos capture that along with each model’s personality and beauty. More than 30 models already posed for “Freckles” and the project was first exhibited in galleries in Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

This project was originally a Christmas assignment for the Bonsucesso bank. The idea was to shoot this lovely characters, but until I met them I had no idea this would be one of the most precious moments of my career.

This work has been published in PH Magazine from Canada and featured in exhibits in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Since 2006 I have been shooting for the "Tattoo Project". The photos will be part of a future book and an exhibit all over (drop me a note if you are interested in showing them in your gallery). 

Almost 40 models have already posed for this work, sharing their beauty and personality. The project is about them and the ink they chose to carry for life.

In 2009 and 2010 I visited Paris and decided to go for a few walks with nothing more than my faithfull Canon G10. I wanted to get the best out of it (with no help from Photoshop).

All photos on this video were made with the G10 and some RAW processing.

The video was edited in Adobe Premiere CS5.

The Raw processor I used was the Adobe Camera Raw (ACR), which is indeed, as someone noted, part of Photoshop (a plugin or functionality as Adobe calls it on it's page).

My point by saying "No Photoshop" means that the good old blue icon software wasn't used (or even opened) in the process. Or, to make it more clear, "no layers were created in the making of this little film". :)

This is my playground. The place where I get to try all kinds of experiments, with the extra benefit of meeting some amazing people.

Beauty is always fascinating. To work with stunning top models is a blessing. They not just show fashion, but define how our culture perceives it. On top of that they make everything you do look incredible. Thanks to them, I am very happy to share this bit of my portfolio.

This guy is a music phenomenon and I was honoured to shoot with Luan a few times. 

Our first meeting was at my studio, when we did a promo photo session for an upcoming hit song (most of them are, anyway).

The second take took place at a country house in the city of Jundiaí, Brazil. That was a much fancier project. Aimed to his next album cover, the production included the landscape, great wardrobe, a smoke machine and a shinny Eleanor Mustang replica that, to be honest, took a bit of the star presence to itself.

For the jewelry job the client brought in the idea to portrait a model with very pale skin, shot on an even white background so the accessories could shine. The results came out great.

Marquinhos Gomes is a gospel musician from Rio de Janeiro. He wanted a metropolitan 50's sort of look for this photo shoot. We picked downtown, Belo Horizonte, for the job. 

Bruna is one of the most professional, charismatic, enthusiastic and captivating models I ever had the chance to work with. We have shot a number of times for fashion catalogs and they all came out awesome, mostly because of her. 

These images, however, are among my favourite. Right after a regular work shoot, I asked her to smear her make up and go crazy for five minutes. She did and a set of lovely pictures was born.

Former back vocal singer for the Brazilian band Jota Quest, Thalles is now a big household name for the Gospel music in Brazil. He's been traveling nonstop packing stadiums everywhere.

Owner of a powerful voice and unpaired personality, Thalles made this a fun and adventurous shoot.

For the location, his crew picked a rubber refurbishing facility. The choice guaranteed some fantastic looks for the project as well as a week long of dirty skin, with a resistance rate of about 10 showers.

Fanny Vidal is one of those people you like before you meet. I shoot with her for the first time when she was just 15 years old and the girl was already holding up perfectly with heavy red lipstick on. After that we had other opportunities tho work together and here are some of my favourites

My first shooting with a horse and a real rider. After many falls to the ground, lots of running and dirt all over my clothing, here's what I got. Those shot were taken on a farm in Connecticut, USA.

I love doing maternity shots and have been making those since I started in photography. These series were part of a special mother's day Fnac exhibit in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

I have been fortunate to be picked as the photographer for the most beautiful models of the country - many of them enchanting enough to win the Miss Brazil pageant. 

Among those I had the pleasure to work with are Gislaine Ferreira, Miss Brazil in 2003, Nathália Guimarães, Miss Brazil in 2007, Rayanne Morais, Miss Brazil's first runner up in 2009.

From gospel to country music. Rock to jazz. As long as it's not a live concert (which freaks me out), I love doing it. And I am lucky to be chosen by some great musicians to work on their albums and promo shots.

A model who became a friend. Rayanne was the first runner up to the Miss Brazil pageant in 2009. Since then we have been working together in many occasions and places. From shoots in my studio to a whole day working in the wonderful beaches of Rio de Janeiro, every opportunity we have has been just awesome.

This young man was one of the greatest models I ever photographed. So confident and full of positive attitude. During this very "colour blocky" session, Ariel did his job in such brilliant way that we couldn't have anything other than a wonderful shoot.

Lu is gracious, super pretty, smart and very talented. Working with her is a breeze and her personality shines through every photo.

Lu Alone is a Brazilian pop singer with a major career ahead. She's already built a solid fan base and with her charisma is not hard to see the long road forward.
