workshop in austin, texas
Next May 1st, me and my friend Gerry will give a workshop in Austin, TX (Cospace), on Professional Digital Workflow.
The workshop happens in one day and starts with a photoshoot. From there we go over the RAW processing, stage by stage, until post production with full commercial skin, shape and eyes retouching.
The goal of this workshop is not only to give you training on professional commercial photography, but also clarity on how you should pick your lights, choose your file format and what boundaries to respect when retouching for the real world.
Here are some topics:
- shooting for retouching
- professional lighting
- model direction
- image ingestion and file management
- choosing the format (RAW vs JPG)
- RAW processing
- post production with skin, shape and eyes retouching
You should have:
- your reflex digital camera
- notebook with the Adobe Photoshop CS3 or CS4

[...] abril 18, 2010 Um inacreditavelmente generoso grupo de pessoas veio participar do primeiro workshop em Minneapolis. O seminário começou cedo, logo depois das 8h, e terminou no final da tarde, às 18h30. Foi um dia cheio, com direito a diversão, descobertas e novas amizades. Fiquei feliz e honrado por poder ensinar um pouco do que tenho aprendido a pessoas tão especiais e bacanas. Significou muito para mim. Aqui vão algumas fotos de bastidores do curso.
